Lucy gives Lola the best kisses! She is a big fan of her little sister!
All day everyday - this is what Lucy loves to do!
Miss Alma is someone so special to our family. She watches Lucy when we need a sitter. She was actually the one to tell me she thought I should take a pregnancy test when I got pregnant with Lola. I didn't listen to her right away I thought she was crazy...little did I know she knew better. By the time I took the test I was already 10 weeks along.

We have had such an amazing week with my mom in town. There is nobody like my mom. She is so giving, helpful and fun to be with. The girls both love her and Lucy and my mom have bonded so much! My mom has really helped with giving me a chance to catch up on sleep during the day while she plays with Lucy, feeds her and gets her down for a nap. It is so wonderful because my knows Lucy's schedule and helps me keep her on it. Thanks Mom - you are so amazing and I am so thankful for you in my life!
Adam and I managed to give both the girls a bath at the same time - this was a first! It was fun and not stressful which I thought it would be. I remember Lucy's first bath and she screamed the entire time, Lola on the other hand enjoyed the warm water and my scrubbing her little fuzzy head.

The Milam family came to meet Lola. Lucy was sleeping so Connor got some great one on one time with Lola! I am thinking they would look pretty cute with an addition to their family!
My parents are nuts for these girls - look who wanted to be held like Lola!
We have been trying hard to get a family picture, it has been a struggle - this is as close as we have gotten.

Gramie and Lola
We are enjoying our time at home of with Lola, Lucy and my family being in town. My mom made it to meet Lola and it was such a beautiful moment. It was magical seeing her see Lola for the first time, smiles, tears and hugs. My mom is so helpful knowing me so well and knowing exactly what I need and how I am feeling. She of course if amazing with Lucy as they played all morning while Lola and I caught up on sleep and then we woke up and she had precious Lola time. My dad went back to Oklahoma for the week traveling back on Friday through Christmas. Aunt Fave leaves tomorrow but will be back with her husband "Hunky" next Tuesday. Then Christmas Jennie, Matt and Gannon will be here!
Lola is an amazing little girl. She is an awesome eater and sleeper which is ever mom's dream. She is alert when she does have awake time. She lets Lucy kiss all over her, which Lucy loves to do. I can't express how blessed Adam and I feel. We are adjusting well and loving life!

Enjoying Life

Since we have gotten home we have been having so much fun. Aunt Fave and my dad are still in town helping out -and boy are they so HELPFUL! They have been entertaining Lucy, feeding her nutritious meals (Fave being the awesome dietitian), helping with both girls diaper changes, waking up early to let Adam and I catch up on sleep and lots of love and snuggles! I have been able to take it easy and recover while still enjoying being with my two girls! I am so in love with Lucy and Lola and they love each other too - God has blessed us so much. Adam and I frequently look at each other and remind each other we have two girls - beautiful girls - God's gift to us! Lola - 4 days old

Grampie & Lucy working on an art project
This was so funny - Grampie put Lucy in the bottom of the stroller, she had to have Christmas lights in the basket with her, she had a Santa hat on and had been holding a tampon in her hand that she would not let go of, they strolled in circles around our house like 10X in a row. I am not sure who had more fun Lucy or Grampie.
My co-worker Brittany sent Lola these cookies. They are way too cute to eat.

Lola Caroline Nuse born Dec 7, 2009

Our family was blessed by the arrival of Lola Caroline Nuse. She was born on Monday December 7 at 10:36am. We are so excited to have another daughter and for Lucy to have a sister. We went into the hospital on Sunday night around 8:00pm. My sister Aunt Fave and Dad were in town to stay the night with Lucy, which Lucy loved so much. My labor intensified on Monday morning at 8am and I dilated from a 5 to a 10 in about 2 hours. I was so lucky to have a very easy delivery my family was shuffled out of the room at 10:20am, the doctor arrived at 10:30 and Lola arrived 6 minutes later. Our doctor, Dr. Doucet, is a rock star and made both Adam and I feel so comfortable. Since the sex was a surprise, Adam made a hat to put on as he went out to the waiting room letting our family know what we had. My dad and sister Megan were awaiting the news in the waiting room with my mom on Skype, sister Jennie on the phone with Megan and Adam had his parents on his phone. Adam's parents arrived shortly after to greet Lola. Lola has been a great sleeper, eater and most importantly snuggler. We both did so well in the hospital that we got the leave 26 hours after she was born. She is very healthy and happy. This Christmas will be extra special for us! Lola, Mom and Dad
Check out her full head of hair

Snuggles with Mommy - btw any friends having babies this gown is called a pretty pusher and was awesome...so much better than the ugly hospital gown they give her and bonus it closes in the back!!

Fluffy pink coming home outfit!
Lucy was helping rock Lola. She has already been such a great big sister. She lets us know when the baby is sleeping by shhhshing us, she gives Lola many kisses too. Lucy is busy busy, God certainly knew what he was doing having these two girls close together I can already tell they will be the best of friends!

Our families decorated our house when we came home. Lots of pink signs welcoming sweet Lola and balloons. When we pulled up they were outside waving and clapping along with some neighbors - Lola got to make an awesome entrance!
Lucy has been busy keeping the house picked up for Lola, sweeping and helping like a wonderful big sister!
Welcome Home Lola!

Hugging Mommy's Belly
This morning we went to eat breakfast with Santa. We are so lucky that Megan came in town to visit us, so she got to join us. Our friend Virginia invited us to the school she works at (St. James) and we joined her along with Brooke, Michael and Connor to spend the morning with Santa. We were anxious to see how Lucy would react to Jolly Ole St. Nick...and well she was not too impressed. She liked looking at him from afar but didn't dare sit on his lap. We loved the moment anyway.

Lucy's First Visit to the Dentist, Dance Clothes and Playtime

Lucy playing with her nativity scene

Dance class warm ups - I love these on her!

Say Awww

Lucy's brand new toothbrush - how cool!

Lucy had her very first dentist appointment on Tuesday. I know you may be thinking...she barely has teeth and she is way too young, well our dentist insisted on having us bring her in to get her used to the office. Lucy is really good with letting us brush her teeth and really did good at the visit. Adam had an appointment so they had us bring her to watch him get his teeth clean. She thought it was really funny and kept trying to tickle him while he was in the chair. Then it was her turn...the pictures don't show how well she actually did. She would start to cry and then open wide and say "awww". All they did was count her teeth and let her get comfortable. She earned a new tooth brush which she has carried with her all day! Dr. E is amazing and made the experience very fun!!
