Internet on the Airplane

That's right, I am blogging from 32,000 feet above. I guess since I have had the girls getting time to listen to all the airplane rules and new services just hasn't happened. This could be a service that has been offered for a long time - but I am loving it. I am able to catch up on e-mail, get some work done and get a quick blog in!
More blogs to be coming as I am away from my family for an entire week. I have already shed a few tears - okay a lot of tears but Mr. Mom is having a blast and enjoying special time with the girls! This trip is bitter/sweet. Bitter - because I am gone so long and away from my fam. Sweet - because I am in LA with Megan getting to shop, hang poolside and work on a project we both have our minds and hearts set on. More on that later!

My sisters Blog!

Many of you follow my younger sister Megan's blog...but nobody follows my older sister Jennie's blog. She has tried to blog several different times but lets like 3-4 months go in between. She FINALLY posted pictures, which is what most of us like to look at anyway. She figured out how to change the back ground. This was big stuff for her. I want her to keep blogging SO i ask you my dear blog reading friends - Go over to her blog...and just leave a comment. It doesn't have to be much but come on everybody gets excited when they see comments. She will be pumped and I am thinking this will help her keep her blogging habits up to date. Thanks friends.

Peanut M&M - Lola
And Miss Lucy - Red M&M
And Yes, Lucy found a friend to chat with just before leaving

After church today we headed to the local pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkins for Halloween 2010. We had a blast. Adam and I took the girls in their little fall dresses and they both picked out a pumpkin. Lucy loved getting her hands on every single pumpkin while Lola enjoyed studying the hay. It was really cute. After about 30 minutes of walking around we went to the car for a costume change. We put the girls in their costumes for Halloween. I made their costumes this year with my neighbor June's help. Lola was a peanut M&M and Lucy a plain (nothing plain about this girl). They turned out great and the girls were adorable. We had a wonderful day as a family. I cherish these days we spend together. Thank you God for my family!!!

I also have to note that Adam had a busy day, he ran a half marathon before any of the rest of us were up. He is incredible, his time was great and we are SO proud of him!

Lola's Special Day

Today after Lola and I dropped Lucy off at Mothers Day Out we had a special date. We went to the pumpkin patch. I am not counting this as our "family trip" just a special Mom & Lola trip. I thought she needed her time to shine where the camera was just on her pretty face. I let her explore the pumpkins and watch all the other kids. She had so much fun. It was really funny because she normally just smiles and smiles but today she was studying the pumpkins and all the kids picking them out. She was so happy and gabbing away. Her favorite game is peek-a-boo and she found the pumpkin patch the perfect place to play that. I really loved my time with her.
Lucy had a great day at Rainbow Express. She loves school so much and that makes me so happy. She is happy to go and happy to get picked up, I couldn't ask for anything more. I love these girls so much. God has blessed me more than I every could have imagined. Being a mom is so rewarding, God certainly knew what he was doing when he created the parent/child relationship! Love it!

A relaxing weekend with Grandmommy & Poppy

Lola checking our Wrigley in the back yard. She was so happy he came home.

The girls were so happy to have Wrigley home!
Lucy showing off some moves
This is her new outfit!
Not sure what she was doing but I love this face!
The sweetest little ballerina!
I love my girls!
Lola practicing her walking - you go girl!
This weekend Adam's parents came to town for a visit. It was relaxing and we loved every minute of it. We took them to Lucy's dance class where she was able to show off her moves. They got both girls new ballet outfits and Lola was SO PROUD of hers. She was dancing and singing on the side. It was too cute!
Another very exciting development...Lola is walking with a little help. OK so she isn't walking on her own but getting very close. She can push this little cart and move all the way across the room. She loves being on the go. Also, many people have asked...no she still doesn't have any teeth. No, we don't even see any. She is totally over baby food though. She has started eating blueberries, turkey, cantaloupe, noodles and much more. So fun!!

Mother's Day Out

Lucy started a mothers day out program today. She was so excited to go to "school". I have really been hesitant on doing this because I love my time with her so much. However, I really have also been wanting more one on one time with Lola. Adam and I felt Lucy would love the social aspect of school and all the kids she would get to play with. Lola and I are getting some amazing quality time just even after this one day. I think it will be so much fun for all of us. Her school is called Rainbow Express. Adam, Lola and I went to drop her off today. You would have thought she has been going there for years. She walked in put her lunch down and said "Bye Mom, see you later". She walked up to the table where all the kids were sitting and joined in the activity. Her teachers are Miss Noemi and Miss Ruth. They were sweet as could be to Lucy. Lucy never even looked back at us. I did get a little teary, but knew when I saw how happy she was that this would be a great day. After filling out some paper work I peeked back in and Lucy said to the teacher "Oh cool, a book about cars" - she seemed to be doing great. As I went to pick her up, the expression on her face was priceless - she was so excited to see Lola and I. "Mom, your at school". Oh, she melted my heart. The teachers said she did great. When we got in the car I told her we were headed home. She said "Mom you go home and I stay at school" - ok so that sums it up - she had a great time. As we were driving I played 1000 questions. I wanted to know everything she did. She was very quite, and tired from the day. She wasn't answering my questions then she looked at me and said "Mom, will you stop asking me all those questions". I nearly died. She had a great day, Lola and I had some really awesome time together and I think we will be lucky to make it to Lucy's bedtime, she is worn out!

Fall is in the air

Carter, Jack and the Girls

While in Tulsa I also got to spend time with one of my favorite friends Caroline and her two boys Carter and Jack. We had the afternoon with nothing to do so we let the kids play. Her boys are the same ages as my girls. We couldn't have planned it more perfectly. Lola and Jack slept most of the time so we couldn't snap a picture with them but we sure got tons of Carter and Lucy. Carter and Lucy were awesome playmates. I wish we could live closer and get together more often.

A trip to Kansas City

This past weekend the girls, Megan and I went to visit my grandma "Gram" in Kansas City. We had so much fun. We helped her shop for a car. It was so much fun. She is 92 years old but certainly doesn't act that way. Her car was a 1987 chrysler lebaron and it was giving her trouble. You know cars can do that after 20 + years! She is so much fun to be with. We were also lucky enough to spend time with a few of my cousins. KC trips always go too fast.
