Happy Halloween

It totally stinks being apart from the rest of our family on Halloween but we are apart for a very good reason!! Sweet Harper should be born anytime. Fave  & Uncle are at the hospital and we are waiting for them to call and update us!
I have many more pictures of Lucy but Adam sent one of Lola & Hank.
Lucy was suppose to be Ariel
Lola was suppose to be Minnie Mouse - she decided 6 months ago and talked about it every day
Hank - Mickey Mouse.

But here we have Lucy as "Bones" - she said the princess dresses are too scratchy.
Getting ready to hit the houses
 Lucy & I
Fave a few hours before she leaves for the hospital - what a trooper for hanging with us!
 Lucy loved trick or treating!
This is my favorite picture every year - Kids running away from the house with a bag full of candy!
Here is sweet Hank as Mickey Mouse - such a big boy!
Lola wanted to be just like Lucy even though they are miles apart - so we have Lola Bones too!
Happy Halloween!

I love my family!

We have had a busy and fun week! Here is a quick recap! Keep in mind Hank loves the camera and is with me all day long - therefore he has a million pictures!
Hank was sick with the tummy bug for 7 full days. I have never experienced the kids with that - it was terrible. He wasn't eating, drinking, playing, just wanted to be held. I felt so terrible for him.

Finally when he started feeling better we made it to the park!

I was so lucky and got to be apart of Chick Night! My friend Amanda took this picture. We heard 2 amazing women speak and their messages really hit me at my core. I loved the event, time with other women especially my sweet friend Amanda.

Amanda and I out at an event this weekend! It was super fun and again just love my time with her!

With our sweet hubbies!! We have been friends with the Pruett's since we first moved to Corpus. They are so dear to us and every time we are able to spend time with them we are so thankful and feel enriched!

My sweet Lola pie giving me one of her awesome poses.

A highlight of our weekend was celebrating Keatons 3rd birthday. It was a cars bday so all the kids brought their ride along toys. One little boy brought the car and the kids went nuts!! He was kind enough to share and our kids has a blast!

Hank wouldn't leave it alone - I must say he is a truck boy!!

Lola and her new swimsuit!!! My mom sent this because if you follow our blog you know Lola is obsessed with her suit!

Lucy and I went shopping because SHE NEEDS CLOTHES! I am still in awe at how tall Lucy is - she is 4 years old and is the same size as many 6 year olds. She is wearing size 5-6 and fit into some 7 size jeans. I will say too she is very mature, makes her own breakfast in the morning, packs her lunch on school days and dresses herself (her fashion - not mine) Anyway, we are getting ready to take a special trip to Florida to visit Megan, Chris and baby Harper (arrives at least by Nov 1) and she didn't have much that fit. This trip to the store was precious. She wanted to try about 30 outfits on, she had her own "no" and "yes" piles. She knew exactly what she wanted. We agreed on most but not all. She got 2 shirts (hello Kitty and this other silly one) that were not my picks but over all I liked what she picked. She also went with more pants because she is very aware that when she lays down boys can see her panties. Modest little girl - I love it!

Hank was up late on Saturday night while the Sooners were playing! Since he was finally feeling better he was hyper!! Finally he came to snuggle with me and I loved every minute of it!

So TA DA - here are some of her new items. These were not intended to go together - in fast most of what we bought would be fine worn together except for the shoes and cheetah or as Lucy says Chiquita Pants. She is so precious and although the outfit was a bust - she wears it with so much style! I love this girl!

Hank caught a quick nap on the way home from church

Grammie sent Lola new pi's - she wore her 2 new pi's and her swimsuit all in the same day! Since Lucy went shopping - Lola felt left out, which I hated. It just so happened my parents sent a few treats to Hank and Lola since Lucy was going to get to take a trip with me. She was so excited! As a mother of 3 keeping it EVEN is always important!

Quick trip to Houston

Yesterday our neighbor June drove with me to Houston for Lola's thyroid appointment. She is still being monitored closely for her hypothyroidism. We found out last month she has a rare case of hypothyroid resistance. Adam and I have struggled to understand this to begin with and this has thrown us for a loop. Lola is totally doing great and has had no problems since she has stayed on this medicine.  Originally they were going to try to take her off the medicine at age 3 and do a trial month with no meds. Since this is a new development she will continue to be seen by our doctor in Houston every 3 months. We feel so blessed there is amazing medicine and Lola is responding so beautifully to it.
So...since we have to make this trip we decided to add some fun in. Originally Adam was going to go and we were going to spend the weekend with the Milams. Since Adam couldn't go due to a work commitment our amazing neighbor June joined me and helped me all day. We just went for the day (4 hours there - 3 hrs at the dr - 2 hours at the zoo - 4 hours home). It was a long fun day (after the dr)
Lola getting her test. Poor baby has to give blood every 3 months. The older she gets the harder it is - she knows its coming. She did great! It was the first time Lucy watched her give blood. Lucy kept covering her mouth and eyes and saying "Lola this is terrible, it looks like it is hurting SO BAD" - next time Lucy will stay in the waiting room with June. Oh and if you are wondering (Yes! That is her mini mouse swimsuit under her dress!)
We had to wait about an hour for them to draw Lola's blood - Lucy went up to the counter and said "Can you please hurry up" - she didn't even think twice. I thought at first she was just looking at the counter but then when that came out of her mouth I FREAKED!
Finally at the zoo! Hank was sound asleep
 Stinky elephants
 I love this picture!
And this picture - Lucy was talking to Hank about the animals! Such a great big sister!
 Hank loved climbing the fence
 The monkeys were a hoot!
Lucy and the monkey named Lucy!
Hank loved the freedom to run all over the zoo - he deserved it after all the time in the car
Feeding the giraffes was a highlight!
 Lola feeding the giraffe
We missed Adam so much - but it was so much fun!
Hank loved the carousel I had to pry his hands off the bar when it was over
 sideways but oh so cute!!
 Sweet June and Lola!

First Tee Ball Game

This past weekend the girls and Adam had the first tee ball game. They are the Rockies. Getting them dressed was so funny. Lucy was convinced people would think she was a boy and kept saying "mom, I look like a boy" - wasn't sure she would make it fully dressed but did! Lola's pants were so long but didn't seem to make it all the way around her waist :) so we had to keep her pants unbuttoned.
Pregame - Lucy 4, Lola 2 1/2
Sisterly love! This is what I really love!
Goof ball - she really wanted a picture like this.
Lucy was already hot - it was 100 for the first game.
Coach Adam and his team. For tee ball I am sure the team is confused they are telling everyone their names are Ariel and Minnie Mouse
Warm ups
Adam had all the kids run to the fence and back and our girls were last because they insisted on holding hands - I LOVED THAT!
Heading out on the field
Hank observing what to do - or what not to do if he is watching his sisters.
Lola - was so thirsty after about 3 minutes on the field she came to me and took a break
Lucy had a great hit but instead of a sprint to 1st base she walked on her tip toes very slowly.
Batter Up!
All ready!
Lola was clean up batter - both girls got up 2X and both got hits both times - I was really impressed - must be the coaching!
Hank - was so ready for a nap and started trying to walk to the car
Good game, good game, good game
Go Rockies!
Coach and his super stars!
Lola and I going through her treat bag!
