Training for the Hunt!

Baseball season is right around the corner. The Hooks play the Astros this Thursday. For those of you who read our blog and don't know, Adam works for a minor league baseball team in Corpus, named the Hooks. We love baseball season, but it is hard with Adam working so many nights. We have been lucky to have him home around 6:00 after work. As baseball season sets in he has to be at all the games. This mean
that he will not be home until around 11:00pm - stinks Lucy and possible I will already be sound asleep. Then he is up back at work around 8:ish in the morning. He has that schedule while the Hooks are in town, but when they are away he typically will get a day or two off work to just hang with us. It is awesome when that happens! In years past I just would go to the games and hang out with Adam and all of our friends at the stadium. Things are much different now with Lucy, dinner time, bath time and bedtime. We have been trying to push her schedule back a little to get her to stay up later so she could go to the first part of the games, but she is pretty set in a routine - I am not complaining though. She is rarely up much past 7:30pm. I will be interested how this all works. The great thing about Adam's job besides the fact that he totally loves it, is that the organization is very family friendly. We are able to go up to his work and hang out, be with him during games - it truly is one big family. I am sure I will keep you updated on how the season pans out and you will see lots more pictures!
Next weekend we are going to Round Rock to visit Adam's parents and watch the Hooks play the Express. The Express are the triple A team of the Astro's. We are also going to celebrate Easter with Adam's parents. A few of our friends have moved to RR, Stephanie and Clint as well as Austin - Sarah and Steve. I am really looking forward to catching up with both of those girls! It will be a fun weekend.
Easter time! I am so excited Lucy's Easter dress arrived in the mail and I love it. We put some eggs out side and had pictures of her taken trying to crawl to the eggs. We are training her for her first Easter egg hunt...just kidding! She decided to lay down and enjoy the yummy taste of the fresh grass. It was really cute! Over Easter my sisters are coming to visit. Jennie, her husband Matt and their little boy Gannon are coming to visit from St. Louis and Megan is coming unfortunately without her husband Chris from Cincinnati. It is the true opening weekend at the Hooks - so we will have lots of fun activities!

Way to Go ADAM!

Today Adam did his first triathlon this morning. He was awesome. He started at 8:00am with a 300 meter swim, a 14 mile bike ride, and a 3 mile run. He did such a great job. He did it with one of our friends Bryan Mayhood who also was a Rock Star! Lucy were on the sidelines cheering him on!

New tooth and New Speedo

Lucy's First Tooth! Lucy cut her first tooth this week. It has just come through a little bit. Not enough to get a picture but enough to feel with our finger. She is very proud and so are we! So we know the tooth fairy will be busy with many more to follow.

So you must be wondering Speedo? Well I have to tell you, Adam bought a speedo this week. Yes you read that right a speedo. He is doing a triathlon this weekend and has tried to convince me he can run better in a speedo. I am not sure about that. I told him I thought his "friends" may be jumping up and down a little too freely - but he insists they will enjoy the ride. So if you are around corpus and see a hottie in a ity bity blue speedo - wave your hand - that's my hubby!

Lucy's first Swim

Tonight Adam and I took Lucy to the pool. We have been excited to start swimming lessons but have a little bit to wait. Lucy LOVED the pool! She looked darling in her bikini too!

Trip to Kansas City

Adam had a busy week of work last week. He was out of town a little bit and also had some college baseball games to go to. Lucy and and went to Oklahoma to see my parents and do a little Tippi Toes work, and then we drove with my parents to Kansas City to see all my cousins and my 91 year old grandma. My sister Jennie and her don Gannon met us. We had such a great time!

The Bachelor

OK so this post is stupid but I just have to say it. ARE YOU KIDDING? If any of you are like me and have been glued to the bachelor all season then you must be mad too. Not that I thought a marriage would work out, but that it was so darn scripted. Everyone looked so stupid and I think they shot themselves in the foot. I think they will be out of viewers if they have another season. I can't believe I wasted so much time watching this dumb show. Awww I feel so much better!
