Lucy's First Playdate

Lucy had such a big day, her first play group. We had 4 other kids over to our house to play and for the moms to hang. Our friends Amanda and Rob have a baby girl Parker, Brooke & Michael have a new born Connor and our friends Katie and Ryan have 2 girls, Layne and Elliot (who promised she will start blogging, hint hint). It was so much fun. We all chatted, caught up on life and shared mom stories. We all decided it was a must for us to get together, it was so much fun. Also posted was Lucy playing with some new found toys. It is amazing what she can find that turn into toys.
Adam is out of town for the weekend, having his guys weekend camping. Lucy and I are headed to Kansas city to visit family. Adam is busy at work getting ready for the season, which is almost 1 month away.

So the Corpus Christi Hooks did a video for their website mocking the e-trade commercial, and used Lucy and our friend's little girl Kennedy. I must admit as Lucy's mom it freaks me out seeing these lips on her - but it is pretty funny.

A visit from Grandma & Grandpa

Adam's parents came to visit us this weekend. They arrived on Thursday night, and left this afternoon. We were busy with lots of Lucy activities. Friday morning, Daisy, Buzz, Lucy and I hung out at home while Adam had to do a bit of work at the office. Buzz enjoyed feeding Lucy her breakfast (plums) while Daisy chatted with Lucy teaching her about all the things around our house. It gave me a little time to catch up on some Tippi Toes work. Then we joined Adam for lunch on the Bay. Later that evening we enjoyed a birthday dinner for Buzz, a late birthday dinner for Adam and we also celebrated Lucy turning 6 months. Lucy was chatty all through dinner and all our eyes were on her. It was a fun visit! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for making the trip! We love you!

We had a great week with my dad coming to Corpus to visit. He left a little while ago and we are so sad. We had such a great time and did so many things, of course hung out with Lucy, chores around the house, fishing, walks, golfing and games. It was so much fun! I love my father daughter time with him and I love seeing him and Lucy together!

Lucy and I are missing Adam so much but enjoying the heck out of our time in Cincinnati with Aunt Fav (which Jennie and I agree on) and Uncle Dimples...the new names we have for Megs and Chris. Since the sun has come out and the snow has started to melt we got to venture out and learn more about Cincinnati. On Friday night Chris took us out to dinner to celebrate Megan birthday we got all dressed up and had a great meal. Last night we enjoyed Lucy's first Rodeo..funny to see a Rodeo in Cincinnati first since we are Oklahoma/Texas family, but it was fun. Today Chris had baseball practice so Megs, Lucy and I went for a pedicure...it was so great! Lucy was so great, she sat in my lap and watched everything they did. Now we are headed to some of their friends house for the Super bowl it will be so much fun! Lucy has fallen in love with Megan and Chris and they are so awesome with her!!!! Naps have been few and far between because Chris enjoys rescuing her from the crys in her bed. Megan can't get enough of her, last night Megan, Camden (her dog) and Lucy all fell asleep on the couch while watching TV. It was precious and we got lots of pictures.
