Lola's First Baseball Game

Lola, Lucy and I went to see Adam at the Hooks ballpark on Tuesday night. It was Lola's first game! She did so well! She actually stayed away up until we spotted the mascots which was the 6th inning. She was all smiles and loved every minute of the fresh air and the loud cheers. She smiled at people passing by and smiled as she watched Lucy run in front of her. Although Adam works late nights in the summer months we are so fortunate to get to go to his work and spend time with him. Last night the girls and I went again and got to sit with our good friend the Fiscus Family. We had so much fun we didn't even get home until 11 - which was WAY past bed time. Lucy loved playing with their son and Lola and their daughter Libby enjoyed sipping bottles side by side and listening to their mommies gab away. Adams coworkers are so sweet to the girls and seem excited to see us when we show up. The night before the Hooks game, Lucy, Lola and I were invite to Brooke's house to spend time with her and Connor. Her husband was out of town and mine was working so we took full advantage. She made grilled cheese for the kids and enchiladas for us. It is always nice to catch up with Brooke as I told her she was my "go to girl". We chatted about being moms, wives and work. I love that time with her. We are in full swing with the Hooks games, so I am sure I will blog more as I miss my hubby at night time just waiting for him to arrive home.

Our family
We had a great time this weekend getting sweet Lola baptized. We were able to baptize her with a special friend Jack Fiddes. Caroline (Jack's mom) and I grew up together and thought it would be so special for our babies to get baptized at the same time. Lola's middle name is after Caroline so they already have a very special bond.

Grade School and High School Friends and a Long walk!

Caroline, Scotty, Kathleen, Luke, Chris, Bill and I along with our kids and some spouses!
Lucy and Jackie sharing the bike
Look at this sweet face!
Way to go Mom!!
This trip has been so fun to see so many different people. But one of the biggest highlights for me was meeting up with some of my very old friends, people I started Kindergarten with. We had a great night catching up, meeting each others families and telling stories. We ordered pizza, watched the kids play and hung out in the beautiful weather.
Another major highlight on this trip was that my mom and I took the girls for a walk up to Kingspoint. This was was about a 45 minute walk in which my mom did amazing. She is just now hitting the 3 month mark of her total knee replacement and has made amazing strides. Check her out with the double stroller and all! Way to go Sallie Ann!

OK now Lucy and Carter are certainly comfortable together as they exchange a kiss!

There is nothing like good friends, especially friends that you have had forever! I have had the rare opportunity to spend time with one of my first friends and her two children. Caroline and I became friends before we started kindergarten and have been close friends ever since. We went to the same grade school, high school, visited each other at college, got married with in months of each other, had our first children within 3 months of each other and then our second children with in 3 weeks of each other. You can get much better than that. She is a constant real true blue kind of gal that I just love. We went out to eat with our parents and children the other night and had a blast! Then she came over and we enjoyed some good mommy conversation! I love my time with her. I can't wait until we live closer and can see each other more often.

I am long overdue on my posts. We have been so busy. My sister had a new baby girl Ella, Hooks had an opening game and my Gram celebrated her 92nd birthday. We have been in St. Louis, Tulsa and Kansas City. Lots of fun with family and lots of pictures. I got a new camera and have been having a hard time downloading pictures but I think I finally have it figured out. Lola is 4 1/2 months old and Lucy is 20mths. Lola is able to roll over and loves doing so. She is so super smiley and such a little sweetie! Lucy is talking so much, and today actually ordered her own lunch. She has a wonderful imagination that keeps us laughing. Adam is working so hard with the beginning of the season which will keep him busy for 74 nights out of the summer! Check out what we have been doing!
