What a Week!

What a week! Last week Adam, Lucy, Wrigley and I packed up and drove to Tulsa. We made it just in time to see one of my best friends Caroline, her husband Mark and their darling little 4 month old Carter.

Then we headed to the airport for Lucy's first plane ride to Corpus Christi! Adam and I were stressed but she slept the entire trip from Tulsa to Corpus.

We safely made it to Corpus and got to spend time with Adam's parents as they helped us with Lucy as well as house hunt. As Grandparents do, they totally spoiled Lucy with precious outfits lots of love and hugs. Adam and I enjoy so much watching our parents with Lucy. It is an amazing relationship and we are both so blessed with truly incredible parents.

Then it was time to house hunt. Luckily we found a place to call home. We are excited and will be moving in 2 weeks. We love our new house and can't wait to be settled.

While in Corpus we went by to visit Adam's co-workers at the Hooks and I got to see two of my favorite Tippi Toes teachers, Jen and Leslie! We also got to see all of our friends from our hometeam too!

Then we made it back to Tulsa just in time to cheer on those Sooners!

Lucy all dolled up!

Lucy's proud Godparents!

Lucy is wearing a 110 year old baptismal gown. It is so special to our family. My great grandmother on my mom's side made this dress and my mom was baptised in it, along with her brother and sister and all of their children and now all of our children. The lace on the dress comes from my great grandmothers, mom's wedding dress. It is a very thin dress that Gram takes extra special care of. It was fun to see Lucy dolled up in it!

Back from St. Louis

It was such a fun weekend in St. Louis for Gannon's first birthday. My sister is the best host, and the perfect party planner. The weekend was nonstop fun and Lucy loved every minute of it. Her first 4 hour car trip was great, not a peep until the exit to Jennie & Matt's house, she got lots of hugs and snuggles from our family. Saturday we had pictures taken of Lucy for her birth announcement as well as some of Adam, Lucy and I, celebrated Gannon's first birthday, watched the OU game, went to Church and had a cookout. Lucy was passed around from family member to family member. My grandma, Lucy's great grandma was the worst one about sharing Lucy. She would look at her watch if someone else had her and say "times up, its my turn". Sunday we went out to brunch, relaxed a bit while the boys got to go to the Rams Giants game. It was a fantastic weekend, with all of our help back at their homes and work, Adam and I are full time parents. We love every second of it, and are amazed at God's great gift to us!

Loving to Swing

Lucy has found a favorite activity the swing! It is so sweet listening to the lullaby music watching her sway back and forth. Last night we took a family stroll in our neighborhood. Adam was so excited to use the baby carrier, and Lucy loved it too. We were able to walk to the store and then take Wrigley to dog park.
Today is going to be a really big day, our first road trip. Lucy's cousin Gannon is having his first birthday tomorrow in St. Louis and we are headed there to celebrate with him. It will be so fun to show little Miss Lucy off to some more family that has not gotten to meet her yet. She will get to meet my Gram, her great grandma, it will be so special. She will also get to meet some of her great aunts and my cousins. Of course we have an entire back of pink clothes packed! Yes, some dresses, dresses and more dresses, bows and a few hats. I am sure I have way over packed her but I have a feeling I will be playing dress up with her during the entire trip! Adam and I are excited and have been packed for a few days.

God Moves...literally

As you all know we have been thinking pink ever since Lucy was born, well we are starting to think BLUE too! As crazy as this may sound, Adam has accepted a job as Vice President of the Corpus Christi Hooks Baseball team. He is so excited about this oppportunity and we are excited to get our feet back in Corpus. We had a hard time leaving so many wonderful friends and an amazing church and are excited to go back. Timing has been interesting, and we are still trying to figure out our timeline. We are house hunting on the internet, and trying to tie up loose ends in Memphis. It will be interesting moving with Lucy being so young, but she will have a great story to tell. God has blessed us so much and we trust in the Lord that He is directing us where we need to be.

Boomer Sooner!

What a day! Boomer Sooner for Miss Lucy! We dressed Lucy today expecting to watch her first OU game. Unfortunatly being in Memphis, the Mississippi game came on instead. She looked precious and now is geared up for the game next week. She had a big day today with her Gram and Grampie, we went to Church for the first time and she was perfect, we went to visit Adam at the Memphis Tigers game so he could show her off to his co-workers, and we even got out to eat dinner. She is now snuggled up in her Grandma's blanket that was hand made especially for her waiting for her Dad to get home from work. Tomorrow her plans are snuggling on the couch to watch football with her Dad...Life is good for Miss Lucy!

Out for a Walk

We took a family stroll in our neighborhood this past weekend. It was a beautiful breezy day and Lucy was loving life! Today my dad "Grampie" came into town to spend time with Lucy. It has been heaven. He took the midnight to 2 shift to allow Adam and I some time to sleep and then again in the morning so I could catch up on rest. It is so fun watching him love on Lucy! He is the best, and certainly has a special touch with Lucy!

DARN...can't figure out why the picture will not post, I will figure it out!
