Connor's 3rd Birthday - A Toy Story Adventure

Sweet Connor celebrated his 3rd birthday this Saturday. It was over the moon fun and Brooke & Milam had every detail perfect. I can't wait to see her post because I know her pictures will be SO AWESOME -! I had Hank in the Bjorn and wasn't able to take really good pictures. By far this was the best birthday party I have been to. We love Connor so much and the girls were so excited to celebrate with him.
This is what we saw when we walked in
The gift table centerpiece
Everything at this party was hand made - Brooke is so talented
The table was so awesome. You know sometimes when you see something cute but it tastes terrible...NOT THE CASE! Everything tasted as good as it looked. Every single thing on the table had meaning. Jessie hats, badge stars, rocket ship rice crispy, chocolate mustaches, dino bark, ham and mr potato head cake pops and so much more!
Lucy and Jade riding high outside - it was the most beautiful day!
Connor and Wade, Lola, Lucy & Jade
Lola was having a blast. She got hurt in the bounce house and ended up limping the entire party - she was most happy in the swing. So we spent most of our time right here while Lucy ran back and forth from the bounce house to the gum balls. And Hank...was strapped to me - so I didn't get any pics of him :(
YES - Brooke made these. I could just scream they are so freaking cute!!! Seriously the time & energy Brooke put into this. I don't think there is anyway on earth I could have made one 1/2 as cute as hers. Pure talent!
The amazing cake!
Bounce house fun!
Brooke and Milam made this chalkboard (Etcha Sketch)
This was so creative!
Party table for kids - always a hit!
Thank you Connor for being such a great friend! We love you so much!

Adam's Birthday Celebration

I was out of town on Adams actual birthday so his friends rallied and celebrated with him at our house (yes, I felt horrible) The kids were all asleep upstairs and while I was in NYC Adam sent me this picture. Our furniture moved and corn hole being played in our living room!
This posting is late as Adam's 31st birthday was January 10th. A few days before his actual birthday we had the Milams, Pruetts & Butchers over to celebrate! The kids as always had a blast - and so did the adults! Poor Hank isn't in any of our pictures because he went to sleep before the guest arrived. I know he will enjoy some cake next time!
Kids table
Sweet Allie - Always in a great mood and always in style - check out her shoes!
There was some great conversation at this table.
Happy Birthday Adam!
Lola's favorite part of any party - the CAKE!
Happy Birthday Adam we are missing you Hank!

We love the Milams

After the girls got home from school today I strolled everyone to the park - we got a great surprise - the Milam's joined us! There is nothing more special than good friends and I love so much watching our kids all play together. I think is may be the first shot of all of them together! Aren't they all adorable!!!

Livestock Show

June and I took the girls to the livestock show yesterday. Hank stayed home because it was right during his nap time. He will love it next year! We all had so much fun. It smelled terrible and we stepped in you know what but there was so much to look at and it was a great learning experience! Thank you June for a fun day - year 2 of the livestock show!
The girls got to pet a bunny on our way into the show
Goats! Lola started yelling "mama dogs dogs". June looked at me like I hadn't taught her anything...I explained - Lola its a goat! Then she said "I know you silly"
Marty - the goat with a clean shave
Lucy spotting the cow peeing
Look at those rolls
Lola more disturbed by the peeing cow
Up close with the cattle
Lola checking out the woodwork
Another cow
Lucy found a see saw she thought she had to have...but I wasn't so sure.

Life with 3 kids

I have been asked so many times, "how is it with 3? Is it hard"
My answer always is "no its not hard just different"...today my answer was different - YES IT IS HARD! Don't get me wrong I do love it but dang I am getting a run for my money. I am so thankful that I really do believe I have wonderful, sweet, precious children - however they are 6 months, 2 and 3 and they are all busy all the time! They always need to be doing something. Hank - is he sitting up enough, when did he eat last, does he need to sleep, bouncer, jumper etc, have I told him I love him so much, have I cooed with him, snuggled him?. Lola & Lucy - have I spent enough time with each of them, did she eat her entire meal, did I comment on how much I liked her picture, did I get snuggle time, did I tell her how much I love her, does she know how important she is, have I read her a book, did I just stop to enjoy her? So many things us moms think about.
I have tried the whole "quite time thing" that just doesn't fly. Not only does it not fly but there are major fits when I suggest it. Lucy has given up her nap. I have tried in every way to get her to rest in her room and I have lost the battle. I have tried many different bribes and nothing works. I am a huge believer in sleep but I also have become a huge believer in if the fight is not worth fighting then let it go. The truth is she is great without a nap doesn't throw a fit and is pleasant so the only reason I press the subject is so I can get a little quite time myself and possibly if I am lucky some uninterrupted work complete. Lola and Hank nap at different times and I am really working on trying to get them on the same schedule. Anyway, tonight I began to laugh oh and pray I could gain more patience. I had decided to take all 3 kids to the park - we walked I had the double stroller and Hank in the baby Bjorn, we walked all the way to the park hills and all which was not an easy task and as soon as we got there - Lucy needed to use the potty. I begged her to go behind the tree but Lucy being the lady she is - refused (which I guess I am proud)...so we had no choice strolled all the way home. When we got home I started dinner and was feeding hank, holding Lola while Lucy was telling me a scary story that I wasn't reacting the right way to - so she ended up in tears, I then put Lola down who ended up in tears and that meant I stopped feeding Hank so he too was in tears. I think I was about .3 seconds away from crying as well. I don't like to do it but I opted for a babysitter Mr. TV - and put on noodle and doodle and finished feeding Hank and dinner. I was so thankful especially today to see sweet Adam's face walk through the front door - eat dinner with us and take care of the kids the rest of the night. This tired mom needed a break.
I know many of you can also relate and know that I am madly in love with my children and wouldn't change a thing but that certainly doesn't change the fact that some days are just plain and simply HARD!

Sisters trip - NYC

So my blog is messed up...but here is our trip summed up!
The bridge behind Megan is where she and Chris got engaged. She took Jennie and I to see it. It was so special!
Good Wine!
I loved loved loved Kelly Ripa! In the background Reggie Bush and Mark Wahlberg
Highlight!! Chicago! - this is a little out of place in my blog but I wanted this picture in!
- So this was suppose to be the beginning but...
I just got home from a trip to NYC with my sisters! It was such a fun memorable trip and we all had a total blast! I was gone for 5 days from my family and Adam was a superstar with the kids. I came home to happy kids and a clean house...what more could a girl ask for? ok now onto the trip...
we all arrived on Saturday night and after checking in to the Waldorf=Astoria (thanks to it being a work trip for Jennie) we walked to Rockefeller Center and were awestruck! It still had the Christmas beauty without the crowd of the holidays.
Little did we know this was the last night before they took the tree down. It was beautiful - the weather was crisp but actually PERFECT!
Walking our way to Time Square!
We were in awe once again with all the lights and amazing action going on in Time Square. We could have stood and just starred for hours, people watching and so on!
Not as cute as you would think...so there were tons of characters in the middle of the street. I thought oh I had to get a picture with Elmo because my kids would love it. "Mommys on a trip with Elmo" - I would be the coolest mom. How do I put this nicely??? He was an ass. I went to take a picture and little did I know he was working for money. You can almost tell by the picture but he was pushing me away. He other hand is out with a huge sign that says "pay me". He was so mean and had a very creepy voice that I ran after my sistas snapped the terrible picture.
I have a special place in my heart for yellow m&m's especially in NYC. Last time I went to NY I was with my mom on a special senior trip with just my mom and I. It was when the M&M's were "born" with their arms and legs. I remember it so perfectly...my mom and I spotted a huge peanut m&m on the street. Every since then...I prefer the yellow ones!
One of my highlights - Live with Kelly! Kelly Ripa made the show so much fun! She was a hoot! She was so fun, nice to us and so personable. In between each segment she came to us to talk about - well how strong Reggie Bush's arm was. Reggie was the cohost and Kelly was in love with him and kept trying to get him to take his shirt off. She was so funny! She had Mark Walhberg on the show also who was honestly so dull and boring. The show was 1 hour but then we got to stay to watch them do promos, and a webcast - which was a bonus!
Reggie Bush and Kelly Ripa!
My mom and dad spoiled us on our trip!!! With their spoil...we got makeovers! It was a blast and we all became Bobbi girls!
Before going to see Chicago - Jennie and I!!
Megs and I at a little Italian restaurant!
Jennie posing for Gannon with a transformer - I will say we did a lot of silly pictures for our kids!
This guys was on the streets and was just cool!
Chicago was the best show we saw! The dancing was amazing and I really wanted to jump on stage and join them. It was a total blast!
My beautiful sisters - seriously beautiful!!!!!!!
We decided we needed a fancy night out - steak, wine and sisters!
Walking in Central Park!
How cool is this - the Apple store. You walked in this glass and went down stairs and the floor is underground. I loved it! So outside the box.
Who doesn't love FAO!
Random guys trying to earn money in the middle of the street.
J & M shopping in SOHO
Good Bye NY - I'll be back soon!!!
