A fun weekend with the Milams

It was such a blessing to have the Milams come visit -it just seemed long overdue. Brooke & Michael had some work to do while in Corpus and Michael and Adam rode Conquer the Coast the 70 mile bike ride around the coastal bend. It was such a bonus because we got some much time with them.
While Brooke and Milam were working on Friday I got to hang with the kids - they play so well together! We went to the park (it was blazing hot), did art projects and played dress up. Hank and Allie didn't get much time together because they napped opposite schedules. Before they arrived - Little Miss Lucy put on a fancy white dress so she could "marry Connor". Not sure where this came from it was the first time I had heard her talk about this but...I can say she has great taste!
Friday night, we had dinner at our house, the kids played and we enjoyed each others company. Saturday Brooke and the kids came over while the boys started their ride. Then we all went to Brewster's street to meet some other friends and let the kids hang on the play ground. After everyone cleaned up we had a mini pizza party at our house with all kids of ice cream.
Sunday we headed to church and relaxed - a perfect weekend!! Thanks Brooke and Milam for making the effort. Brooke - thanks for being my fashion icon!!!

Tball season

Go Rockies!!! Adam is the proud Coach of Lola and Lucy's first t-ball team. It was so fun we went to sign up the girls and Adam wanted to be a coach and they granted him COACH!!! He was pumped!! I have to say, yes I was proud of the girls but OH MY GOODNESS - ADAM  was amazing. He was awesome with the kids and got down on their level and taught them so much. There are 11 kids on the team. I met so many fun moms while watching practice and I am super excited about the season!

First Day of Preschool

The girls started Mother Day Out this week. They are in a new school that is 1 minute from our house - that's right no more 45 minute car rides to and from school. I had no idea how much this would change my life. This school is precious and the girls had a great first week. Hank is loving his new found time all with me - at the park, hanging in the stroller, feeding the ducks, playing ball and so much more. We all spent so much time in the car and now looking back I am so mad at myself. The girls are thriving, meeting great friends and Adam and I are beyond thankful!!
First Day at MDO! Lucy is a Frog and Lola is a Monkey.  - Lola is the only girl in her class - I think she will hold her own!
2nd day of school. Gannon my nephew found out he needs to get glasses. Lucy decided she needed them too and wore these all day. She loves Gannon!
Another MAJOR accomplishment is Lucy has made her lunch every single day!! It was amazing and so very helpful!! She feels great and it really does help me - thank you oldest child sweet Lucy at 4 you are already oh so helpful!!
Hank asleep - before when we were driving into town his naps were in the car - now he has his snuggly bed, his blankie and his frog. His naps are long and oh so great!

Hank - gotta love this little guy!
It has been an incredibly busy last 3 weeks. I have been so blessed to love what I do and now my job required travel. It is bittersweet, that is for sure. I love going to new cities training new Tippi Toes owners and their staff and sharing my passion for Tippi Toes. But I hate, leaving my family, juggling my kids between Adam and sitters, not tucking them into bed and not being able to go to the Hooks playoffs. I have to say my bed felt so great last night. I luckily wasn't away from my kids the entire time - and Adam and I made it work. After I got back from DC late one night - Adam and I woke up early the next morning and drove the 13 hours to Tulsa to get there in time for Megs shower. We played that weekend which was a blast!

The hostesses - Megs best friend Jen came in from Chicago and hosted the shower with us.
We had such an amazing time! It was fun planning, throwing and now seeing all Megan and Chris have gotten for Harper. It is hard to believe that in just a month and a half we will be greeted by this precious baby. We can't wait for Harper - and speaking for my family - We already are totally in love with Harper!
