Our little smiler

Lucy and I made a journey from Corpus Christi to Cincinnati to surprise Megan for her 26th birthday this Sunday. Her husband Chris and I planned this trip about a month ago and were sure one of us were going to spoil the surprise. Chris and I are famous for blowing big surprises...but not this one!
It was a crazy trip for us we made it to Houston without any trouble but then our Houston to Cincinnati trip got cancelled due to the snow storm. We weren't sure we were going to be able to make it, but we did! Lucy was so amazing, she didn't cry one time, she smiled at everyone and feel asleep in my arms when she got sleepy. We had a great day together. Chris picked us up from the airport and SLOWLY drove us in the icy weather home to see Megan. Today was so much fun, snow, snow and more snow. I have never seen so much snow unless I was skiing. The roads were so horrible that they had a warning on the TV that driving on the roads was only for emergency vehicles. It was great because Chris and Megan both were off work and got to stay and hang out with us. Lucy is so fun and is a big flirt. She loves Chris and Megs and has given them tons of smiles!

Playing Dress Up!

We had a low key weekend hanging out and playing dress up! It was so fun. Lucy is grabbing onto things a little better especially her hot pink high heels - yea that's right her HIGH HEELS! They look just like the heels my bridesmaids wore when Adam and I got married. They are so fun! Adam and I were playing with Lucy upstairs as we were reading her a book she was wearing her high heels, tutu and cowgirl hat! So fun!

We are also waiting for our friends Brooke & Michael Milam to have their little boy - Connor Ryan. He is due any day(Feb 2). We are so excited for his arrival. Another playmate for Lucy!

Lucy and her friend Parker

On Saturday Adam, Lucy and I went to our friends, Rob and Amanda's daughters baptism. Parker was born about 3 weeks after Lucy. It is so fun to see them together. After the baptism we went over to Parker's grandparents house for a little celebration. Parker and Lucy just looked at each other and stared. It was so cute. We have a feeling the two girls will grow up with lots of pictures together and many more play dates.

Rolling Over

We had a big day today - Lucy rolled over all by herself! It was so exciting. Adam and I have been working with her so much but we made a parenting mistake. We were working on her rolling over but we started her on her back soon to find out she is happy here. It is when she is on her tummy that she will first learn to roll over. So all you mommy book readers you may have already known this but I didn't, darn. So today when I talked to my aunt she said to start her on her tummy and boom there she goes - rolling over! It was really fun because my mom was on the webcam cheering Lucy on and got to see her roll too. It was also so funny, Adam and I had been videoing every single time we tried for a roll over and of course the one time Adam wasn't there and the one time I was without camera she was a performer. I am sure we have many more rolls to come!

OK so about the webcam - who else has one? THEY ARE AWESOME! It is amazing how it is real time it is. Megan started blowing bubbles at Lucy on the computer and she was cracking up. Our families are loving it!

Lucy is also doing a great job at sitting up which is so much fun. She also is in love with Wrigley. He walks in the room and her face lights up. Lucy is changing so much everyday, and we love every second with her. This weekend will be fun. One of Lucy's friends is getting baptised on Saturday and then we are going to brunch with some friends after church. It will be a fun low key weekend.

We are so thankful for a great 2008! We had the love of our life Lucy, moved, moved and moved - yes 3 times! Adam became the Vice President of the Hooks, I starting selling Tippi Toes franchises! God has been good to us. We had a great Christmas. Santa was great to Lucy. He brought her a drum set, books and a few teething toys. We think teeth are close to come. Since Christmas Lucy has been busy, growing, SITTING UP! and talking talking talking with tons of smiles! We are so excited for what 2009 will bring. We know we will be busy cheering on the Hooks in baseball, visiting family and of course lots of dancing! Here are some fun pictures from our Christmas vacation! Adam heads back to Corpus on Sunday and Lucy and I are staying with my parents for 1 more week. I will be working on Tippi Toes in Oklahoma and then head home next Friday. Adam is headed to the National Championship to watch the Sooners but will return on January 10 which is his birthday! We will get a little celebration in before Adam leaves on Sunday for a hunting trip. This month with be crazy but fun!

Big Day for Lucy

Shots, Cereal and Santa on his way!!! Lucy had a big day. Adam had the day off and we had so much fun...well after the shots. We met Lucy's new doctor, she had her 4 month check up and we are happy to report she is healthy and so happy. She weighs 15 lbs and is 25 1/2 inches long - doubled her size since birth. Lucy also tried rice cereal for the first time, not a huge fan...but I am sure she will be soon. It is so fun having Adam home, I love it so much. Santa will make a stop at our house in Corpus Christ tomorrow night before we hear to Austin on Wednesday to spend Christmas with Adam's parents and then Tulsa with my family for new years! We are so excited to see everyone and know they are excited too...to see Lucy! As you can imagine we will have tons of pictures when we come back and I will be sure to get some of all of our family! We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a blessed 2009!
