Lucy's OLDEST sister

Are you shocked? So was I when Lucy started talking about her oldest sister. I knew I didn't give birth to someone before her...ADAM....nope he was sure he didn't have any children either. Well we have started to learn a ton about her "oldest sister". She is one of many imaginary friends Lucy has. Every single day Lucy will tell me something her oldest sister has done, or told her. Like...Lola crying....Lucy what happened to Lola - my oldest sister said she didn't want Lola to play right now.
Or...Lucy its time for bed....Mom, my oldest sister said tonight we get to stay up very late.
And....How was school today Lucy...it was great my oldest sister and I played with our friends and ate lunch.

On Tuesday I went to wake up Lucy for school and she said "Mom are you going to get Duffy?" Me - "Duffy? Who is Duffy?"
L - "She's my friend and she is going to school"
Me - "Ok come on Duffy let's go downstairs"
Lucy holds her hand all the way down the stairs. I get busy and forget about our new friend Duffy. I get the girls toast before we leave for school and I give Lucy hers.
L - "Mom, where is Duffy's toast"
Me - "Honey, I think she wants a bite of yours, can you share"
L - "No, she said she wants her own piece"
So I made toast for imaginary Duffy
On our way into mothers day out Lucy asked me if I would introduce Duffy to her teachers.
The teachers were AMAZING! Lucy actually introduced her and both teachers bent down to greet Duffy. Miss Jeannie said "Wow, Duffy today we are studying the letter D and that is what your name starts with"
I am in love with Rainbow and these teachers!!!

Anyway, we have many imaginary friends in our home that are very welcome! I wish I could bottle up all of Lucy's comments and save them forever!!

Hank is 3 months old!

Hank,
You are the most precious little boy in the entire world. Words do not describe my love for you. I am extremely amazed at what a perfect baby you are. You smile all the time and I mean all of the time. You coo, wiggle and laugh. You are the most perfect sleeper, sleeping through the night and enjoying long naps during the day. You are awesome riding in the car to different places around town. You like your paci but are trying really hard to find your thumb. I am discouraging that as much as possible. You love your sisters so much and the sound of them makes you smile. You love walking outside and easily fall asleep in daddy and my arms. You are able to sit in your bumbo seat for little periods at a time and love your exercise gym. Although you have rolled over you would rather sit on your back and hit the animals from up above. You are wearing 3-6 months clothing and so long. You are thin but very solid. Dad and I love watching you grow and change each day. You went to your first football game last week and slept the entire way through. Daddy is sure you will come around before too long.
We love you so much and enjoy every minute with you. You are a blessing from God and I am thankful each day I get to smile at your loving face!

There is nobody like my mom

Oh my goodness - I have the greatest mom on the planet. Seriously, she is the most giving, loving, thoughtful person I know. She just left our house after visiting for 4 days. We were just in Tulsa last week and spent 10 days with her but it never ever feels like enough. It is so awesome how good she is to all of us. This weekend she came to be with us to help me out a little bit while Adam was on a business trip. She just gets it! She is a totally hands on Grammie! She came with art projects for the girls and rocking arms for Hank. She is the very best at putting Hank to sleep and snuggling with him. The girls and my mom made straw necklaces, drew pictures, painted glass pumpkins, played "dance class", she read stories, let them chew gum, served them meals and we don't have one single piece of dirty laundry in our house. At night she and I would study pinterest...which we are obsessed with. She helped me decorate our house for fall, redo my front porch and so so much more. I am so thankful for her to be one of my best best friends, along with the greatest mom, grandma and example in my life! I love you more than you know Mom!

Hank - my little love

I am so totally in love with Hank. He is absolutely the sweetest happiest baby. His smile melts my heart completely. Words don't describe how I feel about him. He is such a precious gift from God and I am blessed! Never knew I could love another boy so much!!!

Lucy's 1st karate class

Lucy had her first karate class today. She did such a great job. Karate Kids does what Tippi Toes does and has class during the school day. It is held the last 30 minutes of preschool. The teacher said Lucy was shy at first but was the first one to make the animal squeak with a kick and Lucy was ready to go after that. Once she got home she was busy showing us all her new moves. Karate is new to me so I am learning. Adam took when he was little and loved it so we thought, what the heck - let's give it a try! Way to go Lucy!!
