We are so thankful for a great 2008! We had the love of our life Lucy, moved, moved and moved - yes 3 times! Adam became the Vice President of the Hooks, I starting selling Tippi Toes franchises! God has been good to us. We had a great Christmas. Santa was great to Lucy. He brought her a drum set, books and a few teething toys. We think teeth are close to come. Since Christmas Lucy has been busy, growing, SITTING UP! and talking talking talking with tons of smiles! We are so excited for what 2009 will bring. We know we will be busy cheering on the Hooks in baseball, visiting family and of course lots of dancing! Here are some fun pictures from our Christmas vacation! Adam heads back to Corpus on Sunday and Lucy and I are staying with my parents for 1 more week. I will be working on Tippi Toes in Oklahoma and then head home next Friday. Adam is headed to the National Championship to watch the Sooners but will return on January 10 which is his birthday! We will get a little celebration in before Adam leaves on Sunday for a hunting trip. This month with be crazy but fun!

Big Day for Lucy

Shots, Cereal and Santa on his way!!! Lucy had a big day. Adam had the day off and we had so much fun...well after the shots. We met Lucy's new doctor, she had her 4 month check up and we are happy to report she is healthy and so happy. She weighs 15 lbs and is 25 1/2 inches long - doubled her size since birth. Lucy also tried rice cereal for the first time, not a huge fan...but I am sure she will be soon. It is so fun having Adam home, I love it so much. Santa will make a stop at our house in Corpus Christ tomorrow night before we hear to Austin on Wednesday to spend Christmas with Adam's parents and then Tulsa with my family for new years! We are so excited to see everyone and know they are excited too...to see Lucy! As you can imagine we will have tons of pictures when we come back and I will be sure to get some of all of our family! ELF ON THE SHELF
Do have you read this book? Do you have it? All parents with kids need to have it or going to have kids or even like kids, it has quickly become one of my favorites. It is hard to find right now but it is the cutest Christmas elf story ever. It is interactive for the children and a precious story. To sum it up for you a bit, and elf appears at your house on Thanksgiving night. Every morning when your child wakes up they have to find the elf hiding in a different spot around the house. At night the elf flies to the north Pole to tell Santa if you were good or bad. The children get to name their elf, but can't touch him or he will loose his magic. AWWW, Adam and I have read the book to Lucy a few times and although she doesn't understand yet we are starting a tradition! Isn't Christmas so much fun!

Staying Warm in Corpus!

Corpus has had some really cold weather the past few days. Lucy has snuggled into her blanket her Grandma (Adam's mom) handmade her. It is beautiful, Daisy started working on it when she found out I was pregnant and finished it on the drive to Memphis on Lucy's birthday. She didn't stop there, she also made Lucy this winter hat. It is so soft and has come in handy on these cold days.

We miss Adam

Adam is on his first business trip since Lucy has been born. He is in Vegas for baseball's winter meetings. We haven't been apart since before Lucy was born, except one quick night less than 24 hours which has been awesome. I actually have been so spoiled by that. Adam is such a great dad and helper around the house with Lucy. I am anxious to have him back here. The house just seems so darn empty without him. He left on Sunday and will be back Thursday night. I am counting the days to see his cute face. Lucy has been awesome and we have had so much fun together. Today was the first day I sang a bunch of Tippi Toes songs with her. Why have I not done this earlier, she was giggling so much! Aww it melted my heart!

Boomer Sooner

So much excitement for all the Oklahoma football fans. It is so much fun watching them this year, especially with Adam. Before the game today we took a family walk in the neighborhood. We usually use the stroller but today we opted for the baby carriers. Wow, that makes a walk WAY different! And earlier this morning Lucy was invited to a birthday party. Adam and I were so excited, the party was at a bowling alley and Adam asked if he should bring his own ball. Hummm, it was a 3 yr old birthday, I think we are just hanging out Adam. It was really fun. Lucy was one a just a few girls with lots of boys having a blast. It was so cute! All the fun we have to look forward to. Adam leaves tomorrow for a 5 day business trip ~ ugh, it will be a long 5 days without him. It is the first trip for him since Lucy was born. We will all be happy when Thursday arrives.

OK - side note, why is my blog so sloppy? How do you edit it without all the spaces by the pictures, ours looks horrible.
