We had such a fun weekend in the Woodlands with our buddies the Milams. It was a fun filled weekend packed with kid plans along with some fun adult time too. Brooke planned the entire weekend and it was perfect. We left Corpus on Friday went to Texas city Friday night so Adam could compete in a triathlon early Saturday morning. Friday night we arrived at the hotel around 11pm both girls were asleep in the car. We tried to carefully take the girls to our room but - that didn't happen. They began to become bright eyed. We walked in our room and it smelled of smoke and only had 1 full sized bed and no baby crib. So our entire family crammed into the bed and finally all fell asleep at 3:30am. Poor Adam was up and headed to his triathlon at 5:30. He did an amazing job and came in 5th place in his age group. Way to go babe!
Saturday we met the Milam's at the mall for Connor and Lucy to get their haircut, while Lola just sat back and watched. It was at a place just for kids. They did great. Lucy is rocking a stacked bob - she looks adorable. Saturday night we went our to celebrate Brooke & Michael's 5th wedding anniversary. The kids stayed back at the hotel with a sitter and we enjoyed night out on the town. We went and ate at a fabulous restaurant Jaspers, sipped on wine and had some amazing food. It was a blast.
Sunday we spent most of the time at the pool at our hotel. The kids had so much fun playing in the water! The pools were beautiful! We spent most of our time at the kiddie pool and the splash park. Lucy tried to become friends with everyone at the pool. Her attempt at friendship was "borrowing" their toys in hopes they would play. It was fun and kept Adam and I busy chasing her around. Lola slept in her car seat for the first little while then woke up and was ready to play. Lola is so much fun in the pool. Her legs start kicking right away and don't stop until we take her out of the pool. Sunday night we went to one of Adam and Brooke's co-workers Bryan Mayhood's wedding. Another fun night!
Today we went with Brooke's sweet parents to the Houston Aquarium to enjoy lunch. The fish were amazing and so was the company. The weekend went entirely too fast. Thank you Brooke for planning a great time for us!

Summer is here!

Popsicle in the pool

Lola loves her swing especially when she gets to watch Lucy swim!
Studying her popsicle
Love these cheeks!
The weather has been so warm and summery that I couldn't wait much longer to blow up our pool. Our neighborhood pool doesn't open until this weekend but the days were just so hot and too pretty to stay inside. Lola, Lucy and I have enjoyed the mornings in the pool, then we head inside for lunch and the girls nap then we head back out to the pool to wait for Adam to get home. Today was perfect I moved our little swing over so Lola could hang a little in that too since she doesn't swim the entire time! Our neighbors June and Skip came over to help us enjoy the day!

Tippi Toes Dance Recital

Today was such a great day. My dance company hosted its 11th dance recital! That's right, I have had Tippi Toes running for 11 years! The shows all 4 of them went great. The costumes were precious and the kids looked darling in them. Out of 300 + kids that graced the stage we only had 2 run off the stage crying...I was so happy! Adam has been by my side helping at recitals for the past 10 years. He and I have a great routine and it seems to make everything run so smooth. My good friend Brooke was in charge of the merchandise table which was a huge success. She made darling tags for the table and made it so simple and chic. In years past I would just fling things on a table and hope they sell this year she wowed our audience. My teachers were incredible. I always seem to have amazing staff but this year was one of my favorites. My teachers (most of which are in their 2nd year with me) knew what to do, what to expect and how to be with kids and parents. They were amazing! They work so hard each week to allow me to do what I love best - stay home and rock my babies! Pictures will be posted soon!

Family Time

Waiting for story time
All tucked in
Bed time is not complete with out tickle time
Lola listens so well at the stories
Crashed!
I love when Adam is home at nights and we can put the girls to sleep together. We will all go upstairs, give the girls a bath, read stories and say prayers. It is so fun to get the special quality time uninterrupted at night together. Lucy has slept in her "big girl bed" for about 4 nights! She is doing a great job and really seems to enjoy it. She has lots more room to squirm around and the bed is much more comfy! Lola is slowly making her way from our room to her crib but we aren't pushing it. When she is ready we will know! This family time is so special that I just had to snap some pics!

A new kitchen

Our old kitchen
New Kitchen
So excited!
Already cooking up something special
Lola was having a blast!
This weekend Lucy and Lola upgraded their kitchen! It was so much fun to see both of them get so excited when we went from our tiny old kitchen to the pink polka dot kitchen! We enjoyed lots of time this weekend playing with it! I know it will bring many memories for us with tea parties, lunches, and pretend!

Mother's Day

Lucy helped me clean the house on Mother's Day
Lola enjoying watching Lucy and Connor play
Trying to get them to both look at the camera was impossible
I feel so blessed to be the mom of 2 incredible children. Lucy and Lola bless my life more than they possibly know. They make each day so special with their sweet smiles, giggles, hugs and kisses. I had no idea before I was a mom how much I would love it. They are the greatest gift in my life!
And to my mom, the most amazing, loving, supportive, loyal, woman I know. As I was thinking about my mom on mother's day my thought was, I hope my girls look up to me the way I look up to my mom. She is one of my best friends and she means the world to me.
We spent our Mother's Day with one of our favorite families - The Milams! Brooke is an awesome Mommy to Connor. The kids had a blast hanging out together and so did the parents! Happy Mother's Day to all you MOMS - YOU ARE SO SPECIAL!
