At last....Hank & Allie!

As many of you know the Milams are our best buddies and Brooke and Michael had their daughter Allie a few months ago. We were so excited to meet Allie which made us even more ready to meet Hank. Finally after the birth of Hank we went from 4 of us on 3 kids to 4 of us on 5 kids....might I add all under the age of 3. It is so fun to go through life with them, to enjoy play dates, talk babies, plan trips (although only one has been taken) and just hang out. Here is the first time all the kids got together. I know this will be the first of a zillion pictures of these 5 cuties!

Meeting Grammie & Papa Newt

We are so thankful to have the help of my parents for a few weeks after Hank. My mom and dad staggered their trip so they could be here as long as possible. My mom arrived the day Hank was born and will leave this Sunday. My dad came in on Friday and will stay until next Sunday. My mom has done more than I can even count. Carted girls around town, cleaned out and organized closets, laundry, meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, bedtime/nap time, store runs and so much more. Gosh, when I type it out it is even more than I thought. I could not have functioned without her here. She is good about making sure I get sleep, entertaining the girls and making me rest. I have had some complications after Hank's birth which will require more resting time than usual which is a total struggle for me. I like to be up, moving and doing as soon as possible but I will not be able to. She has left my dad instructions on how to help - I have no doubt her will be just as helpful!

Welcomed home by Lola, Lucy and Grammie - Hank brought the girls new treats too! They were all over him. It was funny he began to cry and that made Lola cry and she wouldn't go close to him the rest of the day. Now when he cries she is the first to find his paci.

We have had many people ask about Hank's name. Well it is so special to us. Adam's first name is actually Harry and my dad's name is Harry. It is a unique name as it is and then for my dad and my husband to share the same name is even more special. Adam and I knew that if we were lucky enough to have a little boy we would want to use the name Harry. Adam was named after his great grandfather because he was born on his birthday and my dad was named after his grandfather. Adam is actually the 4th Harry on his side and my dad was the 2nd Harry on his side. Hank has many great Harry's to follow in their footsteps.

Hank - when Adam and I were dating we talked about what we would want to name our kids. I always loved the name Lucy and Lola and he had loved the name Hank - and check us out...Lucy, Lola and Hank! We are so lucky. There wasn't ever other names that came up for discussion. When we didn't know if Hank was a girl or a boy we were very torn because there wasn't another name we felt like fit with out family. We had chosen Georgia because it is a cute name but it didn't fit the way Hank does. Hank was always meant to be here!

Meeting Grandmommy & Poppy

Adams parents live in San Marcos which is about 2 hours from Corpus. On Tuesday night we told them to keep their phones close since I wasn't feeling well. We called them at about 1:00 and told them we were going to have Hank that day. They jumped in the car to be able to be at our house by the time the girls woke up. What a fun surprise for the girls to wake up to! They hung out with the girls all day while Adam and I were at the hospital. When we knew Hank was getting close Adam text both our families and said "It's Game Time" as only my sports hubby could do! About an hour after we had Hank Buzz, Daisy, Lucy and Lola were there to greet him. It was a very special moment.

This little guy will carry on the Nuse name!

Grandmommy knitted a special blanket in OU Crimson just for Hank. We have been lucky enough have her do this for each of our kids. These blankets always are so special to us. We know Hank will love being wrapped in this while watching OU win!!

Our Family of 5

It is a blessing and still hard to believe that Adam and I have had 3 kids in 3 1/2 years. We will be celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary in a few weeks. Life is so awesome and such a blessing. I am so proud to be Lucy, Lola and Hank's mommy each of them in their own special way bring their own sunshine in our lives!
