Lucy and I had a girls day on Friday shopping for a few dresses. I think I am just attracted to pink polka dots. She got a new precious dress, I just love it!

Exciting Week!

We have had a busy fun week. A few highlights was this historical election, I made sure to get a picture of Lucy watching TV the night of the results. We went to a watch party with a bunch of our friends, and since it wasn't too close we enjoyed hanging out and chatting. The next day Lucy and I met Amanda and Parker (7 weeks) for lunch at one of my favorite spots in Corpus. It was a really different lunch than Amanda and I were used to now with our babies. Lucy started bright eyed and wanting some attention from mom as I stood up in the restaurant swaying side to side she pooped all over my outfit, wow that was exciting so I changed her and she fell asleep about that time Parker woke up and was ready to eat. I am not sure if the girls were ever awake at the same time, but Amanda and I enjoyed every minute of our lunch. We caught up on our families, jobs and life as mommies!

Getting Ready for Halloween and a visit from Gram
We had a great weekend taking Lucy to the pumpkin patch. Of course she had no idea but we loved every minute of it. She is going to be a BEE for Halloween. The outfit was so warm and snugly she slept the entire time. The smiles just keep coming and our hearts just melt. My mom is coming in town this weekend to spend time with Lucy and enjoy all the smiles. I can hardly wait!!!

Cooing and Sleeping - YEAH!
We are finally settled in to our house in Corpus Christi. By settled in I mean we sleep in our beds and our couch and TV are set up. My mom comes in town next weekend so we can decorate and then truly be settled. Major news with Lucy, so knock on wood, but we think she is sleeping through the night - yes 8 weeks old! She has her last feeding around 10:30 and I see her smiling face around 5:00, that is a good amount of sleep - of course we go back to bed for a wee bit after that 5:00 feeding but we seem to be finished with the 2am & 4 am feeding and have stretched it out.
Even more exciting are her coos! She is so smiley and happy and loves looking around. This all started last week and we captured awesome video!
This weekend we are headed to the pumpkin patch to take pictures of Lucy in her Halloween costume. It will be a blast! As you can see we may even have a little shopping to do, she is growing out of her new born clothes, and she needs some warm ups, it is a little chilly down here right now too! Any new moms out there...check out these sites for cute baby clothes: dimples and dandelions, and mini boden. I just got Lucy a dress for Thanksgiving...they are great sites for shopping!

Weehew!
So much has happened since our last blog, we made our move from Memphis to Corpus Christi. Now that we are here life feels great, however I honestly didn't think we were going to make it. The 12 hour drive in 2 cars with Wrigley and Lucy we thought would not be that challenging...ha we were wrong. So that 12 hour drive turned into 3 days. We had decided we wanted to stop and visit family and friends on the way, but that never happened either. We tried to make it to Dallas the first night 6 hours...but Lucy would not have it, we went what should have been 4 hours in 8 hours. She was not a big fan of her car seat...oh joy. We wanted to stop and see a bunch of our friends in Dallas, but instead just drove to my cousins house for a nice lunch only to get back on the road. One of my friends in Dallas has triplets, I have been dying to meet them and catch up with her...I didn't even have the chance to tell her we were going through town. Anyway, enough complaining. We have made it to Corpus, are blessed with a great house, a happy baby and Wrigley is all better. Did I mention he had a foot injury for the trip and had a hard time getting out of the car. Lucy and I are focused on each other while Adam adjusts to his new job. These past 2 days have been great. Boxes are EVERYWHERE...but we don't care. We will unpack slowly because we know we will be here for a while. Thanks for tracking with us. As you can see Lucy is a HAPPY GIRL! Yeah!

We are MOOving!
We are getting all set for the movers to come, we close on our house on Thursday and move in on Friday. It will be so exciting! We have been enjoying the beautiful weather, time together, dog park and the last little bit of time in Memphis. Adam and I agree this has been a worthwhile time in Memphis and we will ALWAYS look back at this special time in our life. For now back to Corpus, back to our friends, jobs, church and the familiar life we loved.

Cute Lucy
Adam and I have been busy getting everything together for our big move. He has been home for the week, which has been heaven, but we truly have been busy. I have mostly been working on Tippi Toes, as he has been situating the movers, the new bills, canceling old ones, selling his car and so on. Lucy has been such a rock star. She just seems to go with the flow. This picture is her propped up on the bed while I was having a phone interview with a potential Tippi Toes teacher. Lucy is so awesome and we are BLESSED beyond belief!
